Allison Collins (Lead Designer)

Hello, I am Allison Collins, Lead Designer here at Reflections Salon and Spa. I have a passion for the beauty industry and healthy greener lifestyles. With AVEDA I am able to provide our guests with the most updated fashion trends and educate the public on ways to enhance natural beauty. Best of both worlds. I started my cosmetology career with AVEDA institute of Covington, Lousisiana. I graduated in 2002 and was licensed soon after. I believe that AVEDA presented me with an unparalleled education for my career. Because of the confident start to my career and 5 years of experience as a Cosmetologist at Indulge Day Spa in Kingsport, Tennessee I chose to share my knowlege and passion through teaching. I tought Phase II Cosmetology for Jenny Lea Academy for over 2 years. In May of 2009 I was offered the opportunity to return to the world of AVEDA which I welcomed with open arms! Through Reflections Salon and Spa, AVEDA, and my career experiences I will be able to pursue my dream of becoming a respected educator not only within our AVEDA family but also in the beauy industry. I look forward to building a relationship with you.

I was born in Kingsport, TN in 1987. Even as a little girl, I always wanted to be a cosmetologist. I graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School and Jenny Lea Academy of Cosmetology. I pull my inspirations for hair from all around me, even from the clients i work with. I enjoy being creative with my work and am very detail oriented. I became a stylist because I enjoy working with hair and making people happy. I love AVEDA because of the plant based products which I have used with beautiful results. AVEDA has been a huge inspiration to me, through working with them to try to live life a little cleaner and a little greener. I feel privileged and lucky to be able to work with such a wonderful company.

Whitney Trumble (Cosmetologist)

Hey y’all, my name is Whitney Trumble. I’m from a small town, born & raised in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and East Tennessee. Growing up in an old fashioned country home, I was raised to work hard, always do my best and always finish what I start. I usually find myself outside with dad working around the house and rushing in to help mom with supper. As I pittled around at home I started to find an interest in art, whether it was drawing a picture, re-painting a room or re-arranging furniture. I was constantly doing things to brighten and give something a new & improved look.

I soon figured out that no matter where I found myself in life I wanted to be somewhere making a difference and making everything around me shine. After high school I knew that I wanted to be a part of people and helping others, so I thought what better way to help than to make them feel great about themselves. I soon joined the Jenny Lea Academy of Cosmetology and graduated as a stylist, since then I’ve been creating masterpieces one head at a time!

I recently came across a wonderful salon that actually gives back to the world and shares my same interest for the all around well-being of others. I am really enjoying my work at reflections salon and spa. I hope y’all come and see me.

Jan McNeese (Aesthetician)

I am a native Tennesseean. Born in Memphis. Grew up in the South, living in three southern states. I enjoy gardening, camping, fishing and cooking. My parents instilled in me an appreciation for flowers and music.

My employment career has spanned from tour guide, to medical secretary, to real estate broker/manager.

Recently at this crossroads in my life I made a decision to recareer myself. I completed my aesthetics training at Jenny Lea Academy of Cosmetology & Aesthetics utilizing the Pivot Point International System. My extensive training included skin care, facials, glycolic peels, microdermabrasian, body treatments, waxing procedures, eyelash & eyebrow tinting, product knowledge, makeup & eyelash application.

As an aesthetician it is my desire to assist people in enhancing or beautifying their skin and appearance. Proper skin care leads to a positive reflection of ourselves. I welcome the opportunity to provide a complimentary skin care analysis. Call our salon today to make your personal analysis appointment.

Janice Gleason (Cosmetologist)

Growing up in a family of five girls and one boy its not hard to imagine the hairstyles we bestowed upon each other through the years, sorry sis!

Since high school I have had experience in a variety of jobs to include: The U.S Army, bartending and management. But all the while was contemplating going back to school for my real passion; cosmetology. I attended Jenny Lea Academy where I had first class training and instruction.

I am excited to be a part of the Aveda team at Reflections Salon and Spa. I feel the products, which are nature based, will definitely make a difference in our environment!
